# Platform and Format Direction

Design for how the asset is actually encountered

Do not use one composition and resize it blindly across placements

## Social feed

Assume small-screen, fast-scroll viewing

Prioritize

- one immediate focal event
- fast brand/product recognition
- readable headline mass at thumbnail size
- clean separation from platform UI and neighboring content
- enough contrast to survive imperfect screens and compression

Do not shrink a poster into a feed asset without re-composing it

## Vertical story or reel cover

Use vertical movement deliberately

Keep critical copy and brand marks away from interface-heavy edges

Exact safe-area values can change by platform, so use current platform specs when contractual accuracy matters rather than hardcoding stale percentages

## Carousel

Treat the sequence as one editorial unit

Define

- cover promise
- slide-to-slide progression
- repeated anchor or DNA
- controlled variation
- final action or conclusion

Do not repeat the same frame with different copy

## Website hero

Plan for responsive crop and deterministic HTML/CSS text when possible

Keep the generated image from carrying critical text if the page can render that text natively

Define image focal point, crop tolerance, text field, and mobile fallback

## Performance ad

Make proposition, product/proof, and action path easy to parse

Avoid decorative complexity that steals attention from the response-driving information

Do not confuse performance creative with crowded creative

## OOH and large-format

Design for distance and short exposure

Reduce simultaneous messages

Use large, distinctive masses, strong figure-ground, and minimal small copy

Test at a scaled-down size that approximates distance viewing

## Event visual

Account for stage screens, projection, print, social crops, and signage variants

Build a visual idea that survives across very wide and very tall formats without losing the main identity

## Product/ecommerce

Preserve product accuracy and texture detail

Do not let mood lighting hide functional or identifying features when purchase evaluation depends on them

## Format adaptation rule

For each derived asset, decide what stays invariant and what may change

Keep

- concept
- brand behavior
- product truth
- type hierarchy logic
- palette roles

Allow change in

- crop
- hero scale
- copy length
- supporting detail
- anchor positions
- depth
- CTA placement

Re-compose when necessary instead of stretching
