A coin enters; a can exits. But Coca-Cola's emotional promise is happiness — something that cannot exist in a machine. What if the transaction was actually magic and we just couldn't see it? ## Mechanic An animated film showing what happens inside a Coca-Cola vending machine: an entire ecosystem of tiny creatures, each with a specific role in the journey of a coin to a Coke — love, adventure, sacrifice, craft — all dedicated to delivering one moment of happiness to the person outside. ## Why it worked The vending machine is the least magical context for a brand that sells magic. By inverting the mundane exterior to reveal an extraordinary interior, the film makes the emotional promise literal without losing its fantastical nature. The animation quality is itself an argument: this much craft went into the film just as this much invisible care goes into the drink. ## Steal Find the product's most mundane moment — the moment farthest from the brand promise — and reveal what is supposedly happening "inside" it. The container's ordinariness makes the revelation of extraordinary content disproportionately powerful. ## Related - Pattern: [[../MOC-pattern.md#p16]] - Sibling: [[apple-1984-1984.md|1984]] - Sibling: [[apple-think-different-1997.md|Think Different]] - Emotion match: [[metro-trains-dumb-ways-to-die-2012.md|Dumb Ways to Die]] --- *Author: Serge Shima ([t.me/aimastersme](https://t.me/aimastersme) · [sergeshima.com](https://sergeshima.com) · [aimasters.me](https://aimasters.me)) · License: CC BY 4.0 — attribution required · Source: [smixs/creative-director-skill](https://github.com/smixs/creative-director-skill)*
