Heineken, associated with premium occasions and legendary experiences, has standing to claim ownership of "legendary" — but only if it can demonstrate that claim through something beyond a tagline. ## Mechanic A series of OOH posters designed to look like legendary moments from sporting or cultural history, rendered in a distinctive graphic style that positions Heineken as the appropriate accompaniment to legendary occasions. The design language is the argument. ## Why it worked The poster format (P17: Design as Idea) does the work that a film would explain: the visual composition directly associates Heineken with cultural legend without requiring text to make the claim. The invisible brand (P07) technique — minimal product presence, maximum context — signals brand confidence. ## Steal When you want to own an abstract quality (legend, prestige, greatness), don't claim it in copy. Design a visual system that demonstrates it. Let the aesthetic do the argument that the words would diminish. ## Related - Pattern: [[../MOC-pattern.md#p17]] - Sibling: [[absolut-absolut-campaign-1981.md|Absolut _____]] - Sibling: [[apple-think-different-1997.md|Think Different]] - Emotion match: [[guinness-surfer-1999.md|Surfer]] --- *Author: Serge Shima ([t.me/aimastersme](https://t.me/aimastersme) · [sergeshima.com](https://sergeshima.com) · [aimasters.me](https://aimasters.me)) · License: CC BY 4.0 — attribution required · Source: [smixs/creative-director-skill](https://github.com/smixs/creative-director-skill)*
