Marina Prieto, 85, placed a handwritten ad in a local shop window looking for friends. It was the most honest advertising anyone had seen. ## Mechanic JCDecaux, an outdoor advertising company, amplified Marina's handwritten ad onto their billboards across Spain. The same handwritten font, the same personal tone, the same phone number — but now visible to millions. The response was overwhelming: calls, letters, visits, new friendships. ## Why it worked The truth-telling (P13) is Marina's own voice, unchanged and amplified. JCDecaux's role is pure infrastructure — they provided the scale without altering the message. The participation mechanic (P09): the audience's response (calling Marina) IS the campaign's success metric. The brand demonstrates its power by disappearing behind someone else's story. ## Steal Find the most honest ad that already exists in the world — handwritten, undesigned, urgent. Amplify it without changing a word. Your production budget is invisible; their authenticity is irreplaceable. ## Related - Pattern: [[../MOC-pattern.md#p13]] - Sibling: [[apple-1984-1984.md|1984]] - Sibling: [[calm-the-last-photo-2022.md|The Last Photo]] --- *Author: Serge Shima ([t.me/aimastersme](https://t.me/aimastersme) · [sergeshima.com](https://sergeshima.com) · [aimasters.me](https://aimasters.me)) · License: CC BY 4.0 — attribution required · Source: [smixs/creative-director-skill](https://github.com/smixs/creative-director-skill)*
