# Find Your Summer (Magnum · 2024)

## Insight
Summer is a feeling, not a season — but most ice cream advertising sells summer as a location or a temperature. People who want to "find their summer" are really seeking permission to indulge in pleasure regardless of external conditions.

## Mechanic
An integrated campaign combining cultural hijack moments (P05) with participatory mechanics (P09), inviting audiences to locate and share their personal version of summer pleasure. The campaign travels across platform moments rather than sticking to a single media buy.

## Why it worked
Magnum's brand territory — unapologetic, sensory pleasure — maps cleanly onto the campaign mechanic. User participation naturalizes the brand claim: when people share "their summer," they are also sharing Magnum. P05 gives the campaign cultural legs beyond paid media.

## Steal
Reframe a seasonal product as an emotional state that can be triggered anytime. Then build participation mechanics that let users prove the claim on their own terms.
