The film exposes this bias by exploiting it and then reversing it. ## Mechanic A film that appears to show spectacular male football skills from the French national team. At the reveal, it is shown that the skills belong to the women's team — the men's footage was VFX overlay. The tagline: "Support the women's team as you support the men's." Won Cannes Grand Prix. ## Why it worked Truth telling (P13): the reveal is not a twist for entertainment — it is proof of the audience's own bias. You watched the skills and assumed they belonged to men. Behavior inversion (P03): the film inverts the expectation and then names what you just did. The viewer is implicated; the message is undeniable. ## Steal The most powerful argument for equality is the one the audience makes against themselves. Construct a situation where the audience's own assumption becomes the data. The reveal does not need to be angry — it just needs to be irrefutable. ## Related - Pattern: [[../MOC-pattern.md#p13]] - Sibling: [[apple-1984-1984.md|1984]] - Sibling: [[calm-the-last-photo-2022.md|The Last Photo]] --- *Author: Serge Shima ([t.me/aimastersme](https://t.me/aimastersme) · [sergeshima.com](https://sergeshima.com) · [aimasters.me](https://aimasters.me)) · License: CC BY 4.0 — attribution required · Source: [smixs/creative-director-skill](https://github.com/smixs/creative-director-skill)*
