Corona's beach mythology is so established it can be gently mocked from within, which is more charming than either earnest execution. ## Mechanic A comedic film using Corona's own beach-and-sunshine iconography as the raw material for absurdist scenarios — taking the brand's established visual language to its logical extreme with a comedic twist that acknowledges the artifice. ## Why it worked P11 (absurd as carrier) applied to a brand that already owns a strong visual territory — the absurdism works because the baseline is well-established. Self-referential humour from a brand with a clear visual identity is more credible than the same approach from a brand without one. ## Steal When your brand has a visual territory so established it is almost a cliché, the next creative move is to inhabit that cliché with full awareness. The brand that knows it owns a trope can play with the trope — the brand that doesn't know it can't. ## Related - Pattern: [[../MOC-pattern.md#p11]] - Sibling: [[metro-trains-dumb-ways-to-die-2012.md|Dumb Ways to Die]] - Sibling: [[old-spice-man-your-man-could-smell-like-2010.md|The Man Your Man Could Smell Like]] - Emotion match: [[guinness-surfer-1999.md|Surfer]] --- *Author: Serge Shima ([t.me/aimastersme](https://t.me/aimastersme) · [sergeshima.com](https://sergeshima.com) · [aimasters.me](https://aimasters.me)) · License: CC BY 4.0 — attribution required · Source: [smixs/creative-director-skill](https://github.com/smixs/creative-director-skill)*
