Google Pixel was built from the ground up to photograph all skin tones equally — a technical fact that could be communicated as a cultural statement. ## Mechanic Long-form films showing real people's actual lives — in all their visual variety and colour range — captured by Pixel cameras. The "Life By You" framing emphasises that the phone serves the user's story, not a manufactured aspiration. The product proof is the image quality on screen. ## Why it worked Long-form drama (P16): the film's emotional effect depends on accumulation — multiple real lives, multiple moments — rather than a single persuasive claim. The product feature (skin-tone camera calibration) is expressed through the subject matter rather than through a spec sheet. Authenticity of real people > aspirational casting. ## Steal When your product has a technical feature that is actually a social feature, show it in the lives it enables rather than in the lab where it was built. The feature disappears; the life remains. ## Related - Pattern: [[../MOC-pattern.md#p16]] - Sibling: [[apple-1984-1984.md|1984]] - Sibling: [[apple-think-different-1997.md|Think Different]] --- *Author: Serge Shima ([t.me/aimastersme](https://t.me/aimastersme) · [sergeshima.com](https://sergeshima.com) · [aimasters.me](https://aimasters.me)) · License: CC BY 4.0 — attribution required · Source: [smixs/creative-director-skill](https://github.com/smixs/creative-director-skill)*
