# Heaven or Hell (Got Milk · 1994)

## Insight
The deprivation premise can be extended to any universe — even the afterlife. If the worst thing that can happen to you is running out of milk, the logical endpoint is an afterlife defined by milk abundance or milk absence.

## Mechanic
A spot imagining the afterlife as determined by milk availability. A man arrives somewhere that appears to be heaven — clouds, peacefulness, an abundance of cookies, brownies, and chocolate cake. But no milk. The horror dawns. He is not in heaven. Tagline: "Got milk?" A follow-on execution to the Alexander Hamilton original, extending the deprivation logic to cosmic scale.

## Why it worked
P11 (absurd as carrier): scaling the deprivation premise to the afterlife is a natural escalation of the Got Milk? logic — if milk's absence is tragic in life, imagine eternity without it. The spot's effectiveness depends on the previous spot having established the deprivation insight; it rewards an audience already familiar with the campaign's mode.

## Steal
When a campaign premise is genuinely strong, it can be extended to increasingly extreme scenarios without weakening the underlying insight. Each escalation should discover a new dimension of the insight rather than merely repeating the original mechanic in a new setting.
