# Ivan Cobenk (Logitech · 2011)

## Insight
Technology advertising usually features the product heroically solving serious problems. The absurdist alternative: what if the tech product attracted attention via the most mundane, bizarre human behaviour imaginable?

## Mechanic
A film following the fictional Ivan Cobenk — a man doing something inexplicably strange with or around a Logitech product. The absurdism serves as attention device; the product is present throughout.

## Why it worked
Absurdist content travels in an attention economy because it cannot be predicted or summarised. The product presence without product lecture gave Logitech a distinctive tone in a category dominated by feature demonstrations.

## Steal
Tech products in undifferentiated categories can escape feature-comparison advertising through tonal differentiation. The product doesn't need to be the hero of every moment — it needs to be consistently present in an ownable tonal universe.
