Maintaining that tone in new executions is both easier (permission established) and harder (can't repeat the same joke). ## Mechanic A follow-up recruitment film in the same absurdist tradition, presenting police work through a "breaking news" format that subverts the seriousness of news broadcasting. Part of the ongoing NZ Police content strategy established by "Freeze." ## Why it worked The tonal consistency across executions builds a brand character rather than a one-off stunt. The audience knows what to expect from NZ Police content — and that expectation, combined with the surprise of each new execution, is the ongoing engagement mechanic. ## Steal When a tonal identity has been established and validated by audience response, build on it rather than proving it again. The second execution should surprise within a known frame, not re-establish the frame. ## Related - Pattern: [[../MOC-pattern.md#p11]] - Sibling: [[metro-trains-dumb-ways-to-die-2012.md|Dumb Ways to Die]] - Sibling: [[old-spice-man-your-man-could-smell-like-2010.md|The Man Your Man Could Smell Like]] - Emotion match: [[absolut-absolut-campaign-1981.md|Absolut _____]] --- *Author: Serge Shima ([t.me/aimastersme](https://t.me/aimastersme) · [sergeshima.com](https://sergeshima.com) · [aimasters.me](https://aimasters.me)) · License: CC BY 4.0 — attribution required · Source: [smixs/creative-director-skill](https://github.com/smixs/creative-director-skill)*
