# Dance Pony (Three UK · 2013)

## Insight
The "stuff that the internet was made for" platform: the internet exists for the joyful, pointless, and wonderful — not for productivity. A moonwalking Shetland pony in a field is a perfect embodiment of internet joy.

## Mechanic
A 60-second film of a Shetland pony moonwalking in a field to Fleetwood Mac's "Everywhere." No copy. No features. Just a pony dancing. Preceded by the campaign line: "This is what three uses our network for. Enjoy." Went viral immediately and generated millions of organic views.

## Why it worked
P11 (absurd as carrier) at its purest — a brand spending broadcast budget on a dancing pony is the most direct demonstration of "we're here for the good stuff on the internet." The absurdism is not separate from the message; it is the message. Zero features communicated; maximum brand character transferred.

## Steal
The purest version of an absurdist brand character is spending your media budget on the exact thing you're celebrating. The ad is the argument.
