# Hamster (Volvo Trucks · 2014)

## Insight
Truck steering precision can be demonstrated by any entity capable of operating a wheel — even one that has no business being anywhere near a truck.

## Mechanic
A hamster running in a wheel steers a Volvo truck down a mountain road — demonstrating the Dynamic Steering's responsiveness through the most absurd possible operator. Part of the same demo franchise as Epic Split and Look Who's Driving.

## Why it worked
The absurdist escalation of the demonstration franchise reaches full surrealism here. The hamster demo is physically implausible (staged, but the point is the steering system's sensitivity) and generates maximum share value precisely because of its absurdity. Brand consistency across the franchise maintains the product message.

## Steal
When a demonstration franchise is working, don't abandon the format — escalate the absurdity of the demonstration until you find the edge where it stops being believable. Then pull back one step.
