# Terms of use draft

## Permitted purpose

Defensive OSINT Toolkit is provided for lawful defensive security, assurance, risk analysis and public-source research. Users must have appropriate authority for any target-specific assessment and must comply with applicable law, contractual restrictions and source terms.

## Prohibited use

Do not use the plugin to obtain or process credentials or authentication secrets; identify or profile private individuals; conduct intrusive scanning; enumerate user accounts; bypass access controls; exploit vulnerabilities; access non-public data; evade detection; conduct surveillance; or facilitate harm, fraud or unauthorised activity.

## User responsibility

Users are responsible for verifying their authority, the accuracy of supplied information, the lawfulness of their processing and the suitability of any resulting recommendation. Outputs are analytical assistance and are not legal advice or a substitute for professional judgement.

## Intellectual property

Upstream attribution and licences are described in `ATTRIBUTION.md` and the included licence files. No affiliation with or endorsement by OpenAI or the upstream author is implied.

## Publisher action before publication
