# Publication Adapters: Medium and LinkedIn

## Principle

Keep one researched core narrative.

Adapt presentation, not truth.

# Medium

Medium supports title/subtitle, headings, links, standard story formatting, topics, images, and publication submission.

Publication requirements vary. A publication may restrict:
- writer eligibility;
- draft vs published story;
- image requirement;
- subtitle;
- minimum read time;
- topic;
- paywall setting.

Always check the named publication's current guidelines.

## Medium adaptation

Prefer:
- clear title;
- useful subtitle;
- strong hero visual when appropriate;
- readable paragraphs;
- section headings;
- code blocks for real technical examples;
- inline source links;
- useful ending.

Do not write to a fictional universal "Medium algorithm."

# LinkedIn

## Article

Use for long-form professional insight:
- clear title;
- expertise-driven opening;
- structured sections;
- concrete examples;
- professional natural voice;
- concise ending.

## Post

Use for one focused idea:
- immediate first line;
- short paragraphs;
- concrete insight;
- one example;
- concise close;
- restrained hashtags when useful.

Avoid:
- fake controversy;
- engagement bait;
- invented career stories;
- hashtag clouds;
- platform-algorithm folklore.

## Repurposing

From one long article produce:
- Medium version;
- LinkedIn article;
- 1-3 LinkedIn post angles;
- short summary;
- visual/carousel brief if requested.

Do not copy every sentence unchanged into every channel.

## Publication-specific rules

If the user names a Medium publication or company blog, research its current guidelines before finalizing.
