## First-class mode names

Use these routing labels in outputs and dashboards: `management_ir`, `expert_call`, `pm_internal_review`, `investment_committee`, `client_update`, `sell_side_call`, `earnings_call`, `investor_day`, `portfolio_watchlist_review`, `model_review`, `research_kickoff`, and `post_meeting_follow_up`.

All modes should rank questions by decision impact and include what not to ask/say, evidence requests, likely pushbacks, follow-up actions, and the next owning workflow.

## 1. Management or issuer meeting
Objective: test the company story, management credibility, KPIs, quality of growth, risks, and what evidence is needed next.

Must know:
- business model, product, customer base, market, unit economics, revenue quality, margin profile, cash flow, capex, working capital, and management incentives;
- what the model or memo assumes;
- issuer or management claims that need verification.

Question focus:
- growth drivers and sustainability;
- customer concentration, churn, pipeline, pricing, retention, cohort behavior;
- gross margin and operating leverage drivers;
- non-recurring revenue, add-backs, revenue recognition, backlog, bookings, ARR/MRR, NRR/GRR as relevant;
- cash conversion, working capital, capex, debt, covenants, liquidity;
- what management would cut first in a downside case.

Live-use output for a public-company management or IR meeting:
- lead with the investor stance, purpose of the conversation, and the evidence or disclosure that would change the view;
- place a compact conversation-flow sequence before the detailed must-ask question cards so the brief can be used during the meeting;
- make three or four questions the must-ask sequence and move additional diligence topics to `If Time Permits`;
- for each must-ask, concisely specify what answer to listen for, the clean follow-up if the answer stays qualitative or evasive, and the model or thesis implication;
- keep the public-disclosure boundary explicit: do not seek intra-quarter performance, customer-specific contract terms, undisclosed pricing, or other material nonpublic information;
- keep background to the handful of disclosed facts necessary to make the call plan useful, and route broader post-print or pre-print analysis to the relevant earnings workflow.
