Codex plugins for research papers and evidence
Research assistance is most useful when claims stay connected to the supplied paper or source. Distinguish explaining a document from searching a literature database or independently checking a proof.
Selection reviewed October 3, 2026. Capabilities below are publisher claims from saved catalog listings; these are not hands-on test results. Availability in ChatGPT or Codex can vary by account and region. Example prompts illustrate intended workflows and have not been execution-tested.
What to check before choosing
- Does the workflow use supplied documents or retrieve external sources?
- Can quotations and conclusions be traced to an exact passage?
- Are specialist conclusions verified, or only generated from the available text?
