Cost & access

Nothing is sold or paid for in ChatGPT, and the app collects no payment details. Running a calculation (upload_and_quote or quote_part) uses the connected organization's calculation allowance under its existing ARCNM subscription; calculations beyond the allowance are billed under that subscription's terms. Plans, billing and payment are managed only in the ARCNM app.

Declared limitations

  • Refuses data of another organization.
  • Does not buy or upgrade anything.
  • Does not delete the account or organization.

Description

From the marketplace listing

ARCNM turns a CAD file into an explainable, itemised manufacturing cost (a should-cost) for machined and sheet-metal parts. Connect your ARCNM account to price parts from a STEP model or a DXF flat pattern (a PDF drawing adds tolerances and finishes), see what a calculation costs and why (material, machining, setup and overhead, with a prediction band), rank the cost drivers of a design, compare calculations, try what-ifs such as another lot size before re-pricing and find the lowest-cost lot size. Each operation is a typed tool; writes such as starting a calculation are marked as writes. Running a calculation uses the connected organization's ARCNM calculation allowance. Billing, credentials and account administration stay in the ARCNM app. Access is limited to the connected account's organization and token scopes. ARCNM's figures are estimates for decision support; check them before commercial commitments.

Release notes

Matches ARCNM MCP server 3.0: a focused default list of 15 tools. upload_and_quote prices a new part from its CAD file in one call; explain_cost now ranks the cost drivers (top 3, or top 10 with detail 'detailed'); cancel_calculation stops a run that is no longer wanted, and a cancelled run is never charged. Specialised tools such as get_cost_drivers and the nesting tools moved to opt-in toolsets, so the review test cases use only default tools.
