# Build an illustrative ladder
Use this workflow when the user explicitly asks for an educational maturity ladder using supported current public records.
1. Preserve the requested instrument types, rung count, maturity range, and optional hypothetical amount.
2. Call `build_ladder` once. Treat every uncovered rung as a real limitation; do not fill it with an invented option.
3. Explain the maturity spacing and equal target percentage. If an amount was supplied, reconcile the rung amounts to that hypothetical total.
4. Cite the canonical BrinkerAdvisor row URL for every covered rung and state the shared as-of date.
5. Surface reinvestment, liquidity, callability, insurance or credit, tax-treatment, and rate-change limitations that matter to interpretation.
The output is illustrative only. Never access an account, execute a trade, select a product for the user, or imply that equal weighting is suitable.

# Compare fixed-income rates
Use this workflow only for an explicit descriptive comparison across one or more supported instrument types. For a simple find, search, list, browse, or lookup request, use `search` instead.
1. Preserve the user's requested instrument types, minimum maturity, maximum maturity, and result limit; ask only when a missing bound materially changes the comparison.
2. Call `compare_rates` once with those explicit filters.
3. Organize the returned options by instrument and maturity. Include each canonical BrinkerAdvisor row link and the common as-of date.
4. Explain that APY, seven-day SEC yield, Treasury par yield, and not-yet-priced offerings are not interchangeable conventions.
5. If the user needs complete provenance for one option, call `fetch` with that option's stable ID.
Do not label a winner or turn the ordering into suitability, tax, return, or allocation advice. An empty result is evidence that no current row passed the filters, not evidence that the market has no such product.

# Find current rates
Use this workflow when the user wants current BrinkerAdvisor records for a product, institution, term, or maturity.
1. Call `search` for every find, search, list, browse, lookup, or discovery request when no exact stable record ID is already known. Do not broaden a precise request without saying so.
2. Present the matching titles and canonical BrinkerAdvisor row links. Keep the returned stable IDs available for follow-up.
3. Call `fetch` only with an exact stable ID returned by `search` or supplied from a prior result, and only when the user wants that selected record's complete freshness and provenance.
4. Cite the canonical BrinkerAdvisor URL and distinguish it from the original provider or government source URL.
State the as-of date and yield convention. Never infer availability, insurance, tax treatment, suitability, or a transaction from a published rate.
