Description

From the marketplace listing

CitationLab Marketing Manager connects ChatGPT to your marketing workspace, so you can ask about your own projects and follow up on them without leaving the conversation. What you can do: - AI search visibility: see how your brand shows up in AI assistants and AI search answers — mentions, citations, share of voice and the competitors that are cited instead of you. - SEO: Search Console queries and pages, tracked keyword rankings, cannibalization, technical SEO audits and index status. - Analytics: GA4 traffic, sources, page engagement and conversions. - Paid media: Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn and Microsoft Ads performance. - Competitors and links: head-to-head comparisons, competitor activity and your backlink overview. - Actions: see open actions and recommendations, and turn findings into tracked actions with owners, priorities and status. You sign in with your CitationLab account and approve the connection. ChatGPT only sees the projects your account can already access. Everything except creating, updating and commenting on actions is read-only, and every change goes through the same permissions as the app itself. Requires a CitationLab Marketing Manager account on a plan that includes AI connectors.

description: Turn findings into tracked actions in CitationLab and keep their status current. Use when the person wants to save a recommendation, create a task, see open actions or recommendations, or record that something was done.

# Actions and follow-up

Every action has a key such as `ELNO-142`; use that key when you mention an action, never its numeric id.

## See what is open

- `list_actions` with `projectId` and optionally `status`, `search` or `assignee`. Show key, title, status, priority and due date.
- `get_action` for one action's full record, `list_action_comments` for its discussion.
- `list_recommendations` / `get_recommendation` for the improvements CitationLab has found for the project, with their business case.

## Create

`create_action` with `projectId`, `title`, a `description` and `priority` (`low`, `medium`, `high`, `critical`). Optional: `dueDate` (YYYY-MM-DD), `assignee`, `tags[]`.

- Write the description as HTML: `<h3>` headings, short `<p>` paragraphs, `<ul><li>` lists. Include why (the finding and its numbers), what to do, and how success is measured.
- One action per distinct piece of work. Before creating several, list them and get a yes.

## Update

`update_action` with `actionId` (the key), `projectId`, and `status` together with a `comment` that explains the change. `add_action_comment` adds a note without changing anything else. A comment never replaces a status:

- `done` — finished and verified
- `waiting` / `on_hold` — blocked; name on whom or what
- `deferred` — postponed; say until when
- `in_progress` — work resumes now
- `cancelled` — only when the person decided to drop it

If the response carries `statusCheck`, the status was not changed — settle it before moving on.

# AI visibility review

All tools need `projectId`; most accept `startDate`/`endDate` (YYYY-MM-DD) and `models[]` (`chatgpt`, `gemini`, `claude`, `perplexity`).

1. **Overview:** `get_ai_monitor_report` — topics, recent answers, sentiment and overall visibility in one call.
2. **Trend:** `get_ai_visibility_trend` — is visibility rising or falling over the period?
3. **Share of voice:** `get_ai_share_of_voice` — the brand against its competitors.
4. **Who wins instead:** `get_ai_competitors` — brands mentioned in the answers.
5. **Where the answers come from:** `get_ai_citations` with `view: "domains"`, then `view: "urls"` for the brand's own pages that get cited. `get_ai_mentions` for how the brand is named.
6. **Per assistant:** `get_ai_model_performance` with `view: "comparison"` when the person asks which assistant is weakest.
7. **The actual answers:** `list_ai_prompts`, then `get_ai_prompt_responses` with a `promptId` the person wants to read.

## How to report

- Lead with the change and its size over the period, then the two or three biggest gaps (assistants, topics or competitors), then concrete next steps.
- Quote numbers exactly as returned; say which date range and which assistants they cover.
- If the project has no prompts or no runs yet, say so: prompts are set up in the CitationLab app under AI Monitor.
- Offer to turn the next steps into actions (see the `actions-and-follow-up` skill).

# Getting started with CitationLab

1. Call `list_projects`. It returns the projects the person can access, each with its `id` (a project token).
2. For the project they pick, call `get_integration_status` with `projectId` to see which data sources are connected (Search Console, GA4, Google Ads, Meta Ads and so on), and `get_project_summary` for an overview.
3. Summarise briefly in the person's own language: which projects they have, what is connected, and three things they can ask right now. Do not paste the raw result.
4. Ask which project and which goal they want to start with.

## Rules that apply to every CitationLab task

- **Projects are addressed by token.** Pass the project's `id` from `list_projects` or `get_project` as `projectId`, never its name.
- **Name things by their name.** Campaigns, keywords, pages and actions are shown to the person by name (and actions by their key, such as `ELNO-142`), never by an internal numeric id.
- **Almost everything only reads.** `create_action`, `update_action` and `add_action_comment` are the only tools that change anything, and only in the person's CitationLab workspace (and a paired Jira issue). Say what you will write and get a yes first.
- **A missing integration is not an error.** If a tool says a data source is not connected, say which one and that it is connected in the CitationLab app under the project's integrations.

---

# Paid media review

All tools need `projectId` and read the performance data CitationLab has synced from each connected ad account. They never change an ad account.

- **Google Ads:** `list_gads_campaigns` for campaigns with spend, clicks and conversions (`yearMonth` as YYYY-MM, or `startMonth`/`endMonth`); `get_gads_metrics` with `entityType` (`campaign`, `ad_group`, `keyword`, `search_term`, …) for a breakdown.
- **Meta Ads:** `list_meta_ads_campaigns`, `get_meta_ads_metrics` (monthly) and `get_meta_ads_daily_metrics` (day by day, for week-over-week comparisons).
- **LinkedIn Ads:** `get_linkedin_ads_metrics`.
- **Microsoft Ads:** `get_bing_ads_metrics`.
- Use `get_integration_status` first if you are unsure which platforms are connected.

## How to report

- Lead with spend and conversions for the period per platform, then the largest inefficiencies by name with their cost, then recommended changes ranked by expected impact.
- Amounts are in the account currency; say which.
- Changes to campaigns are made in the ad platform or in the CitationLab app. Offer to record a recommended change as an action (see `actions-and-follow-up`).

description: Review organic search performance from Google Search Console, tracked keyword rankings, technical SEO audits and GA4 in CitationLab. Use for questions about clicks, impressions, rankings, lost traffic, cannibalization or index problems.

# SEO performance review

All tools need `projectId`.

1. **Search Console:**
   - `get_gsc_full_report` for totals, top queries and top pages over a period. Compare two equal periods (for example the last 28 days against the 28 before) by calling it twice with `startDate`/`endDate`.
   - `get_gsc_keywords` and `get_gsc_pages` to find which queries and URLs moved. Rank winners and losers by the change in clicks.
   - `get_gsc_cannibalization` when several pages compete for one query.
2. **Rankings:** `list_keywords` and `get_rank_tracking` for tracked positions; `get_ranking_history` for one keyword over time.
3. **Technical health:** `list_technical_seo_audits`, then `get_technical_seo_issues` or `get_technical_seo_full_report` for the latest audit; `get_index_checker_report` for pages that are not indexed.
4. **Traffic and conversions:** `get_ga4_summary`, `get_ga4_page_engagement` and `get_ga4_events` to confirm whether a drop in clicks shows up as lost sessions and conversions.

## How to report

- State the period compared, then the net change, then the top movers by name (query or URL) with before → after.
- Separate what the data shows from what you infer (seasonality, a ranking loss, an indexing problem).
- If Search Console or GA4 is not connected, say which and continue with what is available.
- Offer to record next steps as actions (see `actions-and-follow-up`).
