Dike

Publisher description
From the marketplace listing
Dike connects ChatGPT to primary legal sources from Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, and Egypt, in Arabic and English. Search legislation, court rulings, and fatawa. Get answers that cite the retrieved source text. Resolve a citation, such as a law number and year, to the document it refers to. Check whether a law has been amended or repealed by following its citation graph. Answers are checked against the retrieved sources before they are returned, and claims that cannot be verified are left out. Coverage varies by country. For example, UAE material is currently court decisions and rules from the DIFC and ADGM, and Kuwait is legislation.

Skill instructions
dike-cite1.39 KB
--- name: dike-cite description: Check a legal citation against Dike's index. Use when the user gives a precise citation with a number and year, such as a law, decree, cassation appeal, or fatwa number, and wants to confirm it exists or find the document it refers to. --- Use this skill when the user provides a specific citation, for example a law number and year, and wants it verified. 1. Call `dike_cite` with the citation exactly as the user wrote it. Arabic formats for legislation, ministerial and presidential decrees, cassation rulings, and fatwas are supported. 2. Report the parsed components: document type, number, year, and article number if present. Then report whether it resolved to a document. If it did, give the title, official number, year, status, and `canonical_id`. 3. If the tool reports that the citation is ambiguous and lists candidate documents, show the candidates and ask the user which one they mean. Do not choose for them. 4. If it did not resolve, say that the citation could not be verified in Dike's index. Do not guess which document it might be. An unresolved citation can mean the document does not exist, is outside Dike's current coverage, or was misquoted. 5. If the user then asks whether the law has been amended or repealed, call `dike_graph_traverse` with the `canonical_id`, or use dike-research. If the user's explicit instructions conflict with this skill, follow the user.
dike-research1.89 KB
--- name: dike-research description: Answer a MENA legal question with Dike's grounded workflow of search, grounded reasoning, and an amendment check. Use when the user asks a substantive legal question about Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, or Egypt and expects an answer with verifiable citations. --- Use this skill when the user asks a substantive legal question and wants an answer backed by real sources. The question can be in Arabic or English. 1. Call `dike_search` with the question to find candidate statutes, regulations, or case law. Note the `canonical_id` and `citation_string` of the most relevant results. If the user names a jurisdiction, pass it as a filter. 2. Call `dike_reason` with the question. Every citation in its answer has already been checked against the retrieved documents. If `grounding.dropped_unverified_refs` is greater than 0, tell the user that some claims could not be verified and were removed. 3. For the main source or sources the answer relies on, call `dike_graph_traverse` with direction `both` and edge types `amends` and `repeals` to check whether the provision has been amended or repealed. If it has, say so before presenting the answer as current law. If the graph returns nothing, say that no amendment or repeal relationships were found, which is not proof that none exist. 4. If the user quotes a specific citation, call `dike_cite` to resolve it instead of guessing which document it means. Present the answer first, then the sources used, with citation strings exactly as the tools returned them. Never state a statute number, article number, or case citation that did not come from a tool call. Dike's coverage is not exhaustive, so if nothing relevant is found, say the index may not contain the relevant law rather than filling the gap from memory. This is legal information, not legal advice. If the user's explicit instructions conflict with this skill, follow the user.
dike-search1.35 KB
--- name: dike-search description: Find and compare primary legal sources on a topic using Dike. Use when the user wants to browse or list relevant laws, regulations, court rulings, or fatawa from Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, or Egypt, or names a law or topic without a precise number and year. Do not use it to answer a legal question; use dike-research for that. --- Use this skill when the user wants to find, browse, or compare legal sources rather than receive a single answer. Queries can be in Arabic or English. 1. Call `dike_search` with the user's query. If the user names a jurisdiction (SA, AE, QA, KW, EG), a document type (legislation, case_law, fatwa, regulation, decree), a year range, or a status, pass it as a filter. If the results could span several countries with materially different law and the user has not said which one they mean, ask before filtering. Do not pick one silently. 2. Present the results as a short list. For each result give the title, the `citation_string`, and a one-line summary of the snippet. 3. Do not draw legal conclusions here. If the user then wants an answer to a question, use dike-research. Only report titles, numbers, and citations that the tool returned. If nothing matches, say so and suggest a broader or differently worded query. If the user's explicit instructions conflict with this skill, follow the user.
