Description
From the marketplace listing
Diopter AI checks whether a photo, video, or audio clip was generated or manipulated by AI. Upload a file in chat or share a link, and Diopter runs it through its trained deepfake detection models, then returns a verdict (for example: no AI detected, AI-generated, or inconclusive) with a confidence level and a link to the full report on diopter.ai.
Use it to sanity-check a suspicious image before sharing it, verify a video someone sent you, or look up the result of an earlier scan by its request ID. Sign in with your Diopter account to keep a history of your scans in your dashboard.
Each check is saved to your Diopter account, so ChatGPT asks you to confirm before running it.
Diopter analyzes media. It does not create, edit, or alter images, video, or audio, and it does not identify the people in them.
Detection is probabilistic: treat results as evidence to weigh, not a guarantee.

Declared capabilities
Detect AI images, video, audio
Declared limitations
Creating a deepfake. Diopter only analyzes media and has no tool that generates or edits it, so no tool should run; ChatGPT should decline or explain that Diopter only detects AI media.
Identifying a person. Diopter does not do face recognition and has no tool that names people. ChatGPT must not identify the person; it may run an AI-generation check on the photo, but should say Diopter does not identify people.
Deleting account data. Neither tool can delete or change scans, so no tool should run; ChatGPT should say this is not possible through the plugin and point to the Diopter dashboard or support.
Review scenarios; not an exhaustive list.
Cost & access
Diopter AI does not sell products or process payments in ChatGPT.
1.0.0: Detect whether an image, video, or audio clip was generated or manipulated by AI, with a confidence level and a link to the full report on diopter.ai. Tool annotations state every hint explicitly; detect_media is marked as a write because each check is saved to the user's Diopter history.
