Description

From the marketplace listing

ecohome is a home inventory app that also keeps track of your plants. Connect it to ChatGPT and ask about the things and plants in your home, or add new things, in plain language: "what is in the garage?", "do I own a cordless drill and where is it?", "how many tins of tomatoes do I have?", "how much stuff do I have at home and what is it worth?", "add a cordless drill to the garage", "what needs watering this week?", "when did I last feed my monstera?". It can give a whole-household overview (item counts, total estimated value, the rooms and categories with the most items), count items by room, category or brand, or add new items to a household. For plants, it can list the plants in a household, show which watering, feeding and other scheduled care is due in the next 0 to 60 days (overdue care included), and show one plant's care history. Intended users: people who keep their household inventory in the ecohome app (iOS and Android) and want to look things up, check on their plants, or add new items, in ChatGPT. When you connect, you sign in with your ecohome account and approve the connection on a consent page that names ChatGPT, shows all your households and lists exactly what is shared. ChatGPT can read item names, brands, categories, quantities, locations, descriptions and estimated values in all your households, including items other household members added, and can add new items to them when you ask. It can also read plants: names, species, locations, notes, care schedules and care history, including care other members logged. Limitations: it can only add new items; it cannot change or delete existing ones. Plants are view-only: it cannot change plants or log plant care. Search results can show the main picture of each item, right in the chat. It cannot see receipts, emails, payment details or documents. You need an ecohome account that is set up in the app, with at least one household. A connection lasts up to 90 days and ends after 30 days without use. You get an email each time an assistant is connected, and again when it can see a household you create or join later. You can disconnect at any time at mcp.ecohome.one/connections or in ChatGPT's settings.

Release notes

1.4.0: adds three plant tools, list_plants, list_plant_care_due and get_plant_history, so you can ask ChatGPT about the plants in your household, which watering and feeding is due (overdue included), and a plant's care history. They only read plants; they never add or change plants or log care. Earlier, 1.3.0: search results can show the main picture of each item, right in the chat. The assistant gets a link to each picture that stops working after 15 minutes. Earlier, 1.2.0: adds two tools, add_inventory_item and add_inventory_items, so you can ask ChatGPT to add new items to a household. They add new items only; they never change or delete existing ones. Earlier, 1.1.0: adds household summaries (item counts, estimated value, top rooms, categories and brands) and counts by room, category or brand, so whole-household questions are answered in one call. Search can return up to 50 items at a time.
