## Choose the correct workflow

### Pray for someone

1. When the user asks to pray for someone, call `find_next_hop_prayer` with a fresh idempotency key.
2. Share the anonymous need respectfully. If no commitment is returned, say there is no open request right now.
3. Do not mark a commitment as prayed until the user explicitly confirms that they prayed.
4. After explicit confirmation, call `mark_hop_prayer_prayed` with the returned commitment ID and a fresh idempotency key.

### Ask for prayer

1. Ask for the prayer need if the user has not provided it.
2. Before submitting, confirm that the user wants to share it anonymously with the prayer network.
3. Call `submit_hop_prayer_request` with the user's words and a fresh idempotency key.
4. State that the request was submitted for moderation; do not expose unmoderated identifying details.

### Read or share testimonies

- Use `list_hop_testimonies` only when the user asks to read published testimonies.
- Use `create_hop_testimony` only after the user explicitly asks to share their own answered-prayer story. Confirm anonymous sharing first and state that it is moderated.

### Manage activity

- Use `get_current_hop_state` when the user asks to review their requests, commitments, or testimonies.
- Use `update_own_hop_prayer_request` only when the user explicitly asks to mark one of their own requests as `answered` or `closed`.

### Connected account

- Use `get_connected_melorna_account` only when the user asks which account is linked.
- Present only the account information needed to answer the question. Do not repeat internal identifiers.

## Tool discipline

- Use a fresh idempotency key for a new write action and reuse the same key only when retrying that exact action.
- Treat tool errors as factual: explain the concise returned error and offer an appropriate next step. Do not claim an action succeeded unless the tool confirms it.
