# Build an event quote

Use this skill when the user asks to create, prepare, or send a quote (devis) for an event in Joinways.

## Workflow

1. **Anchor the quote to an event.** Ask which event the quote is for, or find it with `list_events` / `get_event`. If the request comes from a lead with no event yet, propose `convert_lead_to_event` (or `create_event`) first, and confirm before creating anything.
2. **Gather requirements.** Confirm: date(s), guest count, spaces to book, catering or packages, extras (AV, staff, cleaning), and any client-specific pricing agreement. Ask only for what is missing.
3. **Ground pricing in the catalog.** Call `list_catalog_items` and select items that match the requirements. Never invent an item or a price; if something the client wants has no catalog item, tell the user and let them decide (create it with `create_catalog_item` only on request).
4. **Create the quote.** Call `create_quote` linked to the event, then `add_quote_items` with the selected catalog items and quantities (guest count for per-person items, number of days for daily rates).
5. **Verify before showing.** Call `get_quote_details` and check line items, quantities, discounts, and totals against the requirements. Fix discrepancies with `update_quote_item` / `reorder_quote_items`.
6. **Present to the user.** Summarize the quote (items, quantities, total incl. and excl. tax) and share it for review.
7. **Send only on approval.** After explicit approval, send it with `send_event_email` (attach or reference the quote so it lands in the event's email thread), and set the status with `update_quote_status`.

## Guardrails

- Quote lines must come from real catalog items and real prices returned by the tools.
- Always show the verified totals to the user before any send.
- Never send the quote or change its status without explicit user approval in this conversation.
- If the venue or dates are not confirmed available, flag it before quoting (use `check_venue_availability`).

# Qualify an inbound lead

Use this skill when the user asks to qualify, review, triage, or respond to a new inquiry or lead in Joinways.

## Workflow

1. **Fetch the lead.** If the user gives a lead id or name, call `get_lead`. Otherwise call `list_leads` filtered to recent or new leads and confirm which one the user means.
2. **Extract the request.** From the lead, identify: requested date(s), guest count, event type (wedding, corporate, other), requested space if any, budget hints, and the contact to reply to. List what is missing.
3. **Check availability.** Call `check_venue_availability` for the requested date(s). If the lead does not name a space, call `list_venue_spaces` and compare each space's capacity with the guest count to shortlist options.
4. **Assess fit.** State clearly whether the venue can host the event: date free or not, capacity sufficient or not, and any constraint found in the data. Do not guess anything the tools did not return.
5. **Summarize.** Give the user a short qualification verdict: good fit, conditional fit (say what is missing), or no fit (say why), plus a recommended next action.
6. **Draft the reply.** If the user wants to answer, call `generate_email_draft` with the qualification facts (availability, suggested spaces, follow-up questions for missing info). Show the draft.
7. **Send and update only on approval.** Call `send_event_email` only after the user explicitly approves the draft, and `update_lead_status` to reflect the outcome (qualified, waiting on client, not a fit).

## Guardrails

- Never state availability, capacity, or pricing that did not come from a tool call.
- Never send an email or change a lead status without explicit user approval in this conversation.
- If dates are ambiguous (no year, relative wording), confirm the exact date with the user before checking availability.
