LinkEmcee is the ChatGPT app of LinkMCP. It helps you research people and companies and do your professional outreach. It looks up LinkedIn profiles, company pages and posts, and it finds and checks work email addresses. When you connect your own LinkedIn account, it also helps you with your messages, invitations and posts.

Without a connected LinkedIn account, you can:
- Get a summary of a profile or a company page from its link.
- Read the recent posts of a person or a company, and the comments and reactions on a post.
- Find the work email address of a person from their name and company.
- Check if an email address can receive mail.
When you connect your own LinkedIn account on the LinkMCP website, you can also:
- Search for people, jobs and sales leads.
- Read your messages, your connections, your pending invitations, the people who viewed your profile, and your saved posts.
- See the analytics of your own posts.
- Send messages and connection requests, accept or decline invitations, withdraw invitations that you sent, comment on posts, react to posts and publish posts.
Before LinkEmcee sends a message, publishes a post or a comment, reacts to a post, or sends or answers an invitation, ChatGPT asks for your approval. LinkMCP also sets a daily limit for each of these actions.
Who it is for: salespeople, recruiters, founders, marketers, job seekers and other people who use LinkedIn for work.
Limitations:
- You need a LinkMCP account. When you connect LinkEmcee in ChatGPT, you sign in with an email code or with Google.
- The tools that use your LinkedIn account work only after you connect that account on the LinkMCP website.
- Some tools work only with some types of LinkedIn accounts, for example lead search and the list of people who viewed your profile.
- LinkedIn's own limits apply. Results show the data that LinkedIn and public sources give at the time of your request.

Request outside the plugin's purpose: ChatGPT should not call any LinkMCP tool, because LinkMCP only works with LinkedIn and contact data.
Sensitive personal data that LinkMCP does not provide: no tool returns a home address or a date of birth, so the answer says LinkMCP cannot provide them.
Credentials in chat: no LinkMCP tool accepts a LinkedIn password. The member connects LinkedIn only on the LinkMCP website; on the test account no LinkedIn account is connected, so no messages are read and the password is not used.

Version 1.0.2 changes only the listing metadata. The subtitle now names the platform the app works with: "LinkedIn research and outreach". The keywords now include LinkMCP, which is the name of our product and our website (linkmcp.io). They also include words for features the app already has: Sales Navigator search, prospecting, outreach, lead generation, recruiting, email finding and the LinkedIn inbox. The long description, starter prompts, test cases, tool list and tool descriptions did not change.
