Description
From the marketplace listing
Partwright turns a description of a physical part into a real object you can hold. Use it to replace a part that broke or went missing, such as a knob, clip, cap, cover, foot or bracket, or to make a small custom object to your measurements, such as a hook, holder, mount, spacer or adapter. Describe what you need along with its key dimensions, for example the size and shape of the shaft a knob fits on. ChatGPT designs it as a precise CAD model, you check it in an interactive 3D preview and refine it over saved versions, and when it's right you order a 3D print that's shipped to your door. You can also download STL, STEP and source files from the Partwright website.
Partwright is built for one printable part at a time: a single solid piece in one material and colour. Parts are currently printed in resin, in white or black. Parts made with Partwright are new, compatible parts, not original manufacturer parts. It isn't meant for general 3D modelling, such as rooms, buildings, scenes, characters or artwork, or for parts that need to be metal, rubber, flexible, multi-colour or electronic.
Connect a Partwright account and choose the workspace your AI can access. Editing permission is needed to create projects, build models, obtain print estimates, or open checkout. You can revoke access from the Partwright Connections page.
With editing access, opening a preview may automatically get a print estimate from our print partner, JLC3DP, a 3D printing service in China. To do that, Partwright sends JLC3DP the printable model files, material and colour selections, and quantities. Your email and delivery address are not sent at this stage. Print estimates exclude shipping. To order a print, use the viewer’s checkout action, then enter your delivery details and pay on Partwright’s checkout page using Stripe. Your delivery details are shared with JLC3DP when you request a delivery quote. Physical print availability, supported delivery destinations, shipping and final pricing depend on the quote. Opening a preview does not place an order or charge you.
For anyone who needs a specific part made, whether it's a fix, a fitting, a mount or a small custom object. Review dimensions, fit, materials and intended use before ordering. A preview or successful CAD build does not certify strength, heat resistance, safety or printability.

Declared limitations
Partwright prints single parts in resin only and does not certify strength or heat resistance. Explain that it cannot make a metal or safety-critical automotive part, suggest a suitable alternative such as an OEM or dealer part, and do not invoke build_model, open checkout, or claim an order was placed.
Partwright exposes no project/model deletion tool. Explain that this action cannot be performed through the connector, do not invoke build_model or create_project as a substitute, and do not claim any records were deleted.
A successful CAD build is not engineering certification. Explain that Partwright cannot certify load capacity or safety and that independent engineering validation is required. Do not invoke a Partwright tool to fabricate a test/certificate or initiate manufacturing.

Cost & access
Users can buy physical 3D prints, in white or black resin, of saved single-part model versions. The embedded viewer shows printing estimates from JLC3DP and opens a private Partwright checkout page only after the user clicks checkout. Delivery details, shipping quotes and Stripe payment are handled on that page. JLC3DP prints and ships paid orders. Opening a preview or a quote does not place an order or start a payment.

Starter prompt
My oven knob broke. Make a replacement that fits a 6 mm D-shaped shaft.
Updates the listing for replacement-part and custom-part requests: new subtitle, description and starter prompts. States that parts are printed in white or black resin, one solid part per order, and are compatible rather than original manufacturer parts. Replaces two review cases with an indirect replacement-knob case and a metal-part negative case.
