Description
From the marketplace listing
Plan an international money transfer and check on the ones you've already sent, right in the conversation.
Without signing in, you can:
- Get a price quote with the exchange rate, fee, and amount your recipient gets
- Compare delivery and payment options by cost or estimated delivery time
- See which delivery methods, such as bank deposit or cash pickup, are available between two countries
- Find cash pickup locations near a place you name, or near your approximate location if you share it with ChatGPT, and see which cash pickup providers serve a country
- See a chart of how the mid-market exchange rate has moved over the past week, month, or year
- Get answers from the Remitly Help Center about ID documents for verification, payment options, how fees work, receiving money, and sending as a business
After you sign in to your Remitly account, you can also:
- Review your recent transfers, including amounts, status, and expected delivery
- See the full receipt for a transfer, including fees and total charged
- See your saved recipients for a destination country
- Get quotes and compare delivery options using the pricing for your account
Who it's for: Remitly customers, and people considering Remitly, who want to plan a transfer or check on one.
What it can't do:
- It's read-only. It can't send money, cancel or change a transfer, add or edit recipients, or change your account. To send money, continue on Remitly using the link provided.
- Quotes and delivery options are estimates. Rates subject to change. Final amounts are confirmed when you create a transfer on Remitly.
- Rate trend charts show the mid-market rate, not the rate Remitly offers. They don't predict future rates or advise when to send.
- Price quotes currently cover transfers from a growing list of send and destination countries. For other countries, you'll get a link to check on Remitly.
- Your transfers and recipients are shown only for the Remitly account you sign in with. Recipient details are limited to name, delivery type, receiving bank or provider name, the last four digits of a bank account, and whether the recipient is you.
Signing in shares your Remitly account email with the plugin and keeps you connected until you disconnect it in ChatGPT or the sign-in expires.
Delivery options vary depending upon the recipient's location. Payment options vary depending upon the sender's location. Transfer speed is dependent on payment method, delivery method, transaction review and system availability of Remitly and our partners.

Declared capabilities
Get exchange rate and fee quotes
Compare delivery and payment options
List delivery methods between countries
Declared limitations
Domestic payment through another app. The user wants to pay someone in the U.S. with Venmo. That is not an international transfer and not a Remitly service, so the Remitly plugin should not be called.
Cryptocurrency price. The user asks for a Bitcoin price, which Remitly doesn't offer and none of the plugin's tools cover, so the plugin should not be called.
Interest rates, not exchange rates. The word 'rates' could be mistaken for an exchange-rate question, but mortgage refinancing has nothing to do with sending money, so the plugin should not be called.
Review scenarios; not an exhaustive list.
Cost & access
This plugin doesn't sell products, process payments, or move money. Every tool is read-only: it shows estimated exchange rates and fees, delivery and payment options, cash pickup locations and providers, mid-market rate history, Help Center answers, and, after sign-in, the customer's own transfers and saved recipients. To send money, customers continue on remitly.com or in the Remitly app.
