Handwrite study notes on photosynthesis in Wren
From the marketplace listing
Wren is a handwriting notebook for iPad. With this plugin, ChatGPT writes into your Wren notebook in real handwriting: paragraphs and study notes, function graphs, formulas, tables, bar charts, timelines, flowcharts, mind maps and concept maps. Everything lands as editable pen strokes — not an image — and syncs to your iPad. Ask ChatGPT to start a new note, add a page to an existing one, or keep working on a page Wren wrote. Your own handwriting is never modified: Wren only ever changes pages it wrote itself. Sign in with the same account you use in the Wren app.

--- name: wren-notes description: Write handwritten notes, graphs, formulas, tables, timelines, flowcharts and mind maps into the user's Wren notebook, and add to or edit notes Wren wrote. Use whenever the user asks to put something in Wren, handwrite something, or add to a Wren note. --- # Writing into Wren Wren turns content you specify into real handwriting (editable pen strokes) in the user's Wren notebook, which syncs to their iPad. Wren draws exactly what you send — it never invents content. ## 1. Learn what Wren can draw (always do this first) Call `get_drawing_guide` before your first drawing in a conversation, and again whenever you are unsure. It returns every kind Wren supports right now, the exact arguments for each, and a working example. **Do not rely on memory or assume a fixed list of kinds — the guide is the source of truth and grows over time.** Copy the shape of the guide's example for the kind you need. ## 2. Pick the right action - **New note** → `create_handwritten_note` (give it a short, clear `title`). - **Add to an existing note** → `list_notes` (use `query` to search by title) to get its `noteId`, then: - `add_page` for a new page, or - `edit_page` to write on an existing page (default `append` adds below the existing ink). - **Rename / change subject** → `update_note`. - **Look inside a note** → `get_note` (pages, and which ones Wren may edit). ## 3. Fill the arguments faithfully - Put the user's actual words, equations and data into the arguments. Do not paraphrase their text when they asked you to write it. - Handwritten text: send **only the words to write** — never an instruction such as "Handwrite:". - Graphs: send the **equation** (e.g. `y = x^2 - 4`), never polynomial coefficients. - Structured kinds (table, timeline, flowchart, …): follow the guide's fields exactly — unique ids, every edge pointing at real node ids, one cell per column. - Keep each drawing focused. Long content → several pages (`add_page`) rather than one crowded page. ## 4. Respect the user's notebook - Wren never modifies the user's own handwriting. `edit_page` only works on pages Wren wrote and the user has not changed since (`get_note` marks them `editable`). For anything else, use `add_page`. - Use `edit_page` with `mode: "replace"` **only** when the user explicitly asks to replace or redo that page. - If a tool asks the user to link their account, tell them to sign in with the same account they use in the Wren app. ## 5. After writing - Tell the user where it went, using the result's `location` (e.g. *Added to "Biology" · page 2 of 3*). - The handwritten preview is already shown to the user. Reply briefly — **do not redraw, chart, tabulate or re-list the content** you just wrote. - The note appears on the user's iPad the next time Wren syncs. ## 6. When something fails - Read the result's `message` and fix the arguments (it says what is wrong), then retry once. - If a kind or feature isn't supported, say so plainly and offer the closest supported kind from the guide.
