Description
From the marketplace listing
An invoice generator for freelancers, contractors, and small businesses that works inside the chat. Describe the work, the client, and the rates, and Billwise builds a professional invoice, quote, estimate, receipt, or credit note, shows a live preview, and gives you a print-ready PDF and a CSV of the lines.
The numbers are exact. Every line is rounded to the currency's minor units (round half up), reductions are applied before tax, and tax is summarised by rate, so an invoice with 23% and 8% VAT shows both groups with the right amounts. Any ISO 4217 currency works with the correct decimals: yen has none, dinar has three.
What you get:
- Invoices, quotes, estimates, receipts, and credit notes with numbering, issue and due dates, or payment terms such as Net 14
- Units such as hours or pieces, per-line or whole-document reductions (percent or fixed), shipping, deposits, and balance due
- Tax, VAT, or GST grouped by rate, with optional seller and client tax IDs
- A clean PDF in A4 or US Letter that paginates long item lists, with your payment instructions and notes
- Optional amount in words
- Edit quantities and prices in the preview and regenerate the PDF
How to make an invoice: ask for something like "Invoice from Northwind Studio to Acme Ltd: 12 hours of design work at 85 USD per hour, due in 14 days".
Limitations: Billwise creates documents only. It does not email invoices, track or process payments, store your documents, or give tax advice; you choose the tax rates. Labels are in English. The PDF prints names, addresses, and descriptions in Latin script with accents (for example Polish, Czech, German, or Vietnamese), Greek, and Cyrillic exactly as typed; Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, or Hebrew text and emoji cannot be printed in the PDF.
Language: English · Automatically detected from descriptions.

# Billwise Invoice Maker
Use `generate_invoice` whenever the user wants an invoice, invoice template, bill, quote, estimate, receipt, or credit note.
1. Collect what the document needs: who it is from (seller), who it is for (client), and line items (description, quantity, unit price). If the seller or client is unknown, create the document anyway and mention the warning; ask at most one short question.
2. Pass amounts as numbers in the document currency. Put tax rates on each line (`tax_rate`, percent) and set `tax_label` to VAT, GST, or Sales tax when the user uses that word. Never invent tax rates; use 0 if the user gives none and say so.
3. For "due in 14 days" or "Net 30" use `payment_terms_days`; for a fixed date use `due_date` (YYYY-MM-DD). Use `discount_percent` or `discount_amount` for a whole-document discount (applied before tax).
4. Use `document_type: receipt` only for a payment that actually happened, and `credit_note` with `reference` set to the original invoice number for refunds.
5. After the tool returns, state the total and due date, repeat any warnings verbatim, and give the PDF and CSV links. To change quantities or prices, call the tool again with the full corrected arguments (the widget's Edit button does this too).
Do not collect or print payment card numbers; `payment_instructions` is free text such as bank details or a payment link. This tool does not email invoices, chase payments, process payments, or give tax advice.
